Issue - V1999_09 Product Test Report: Feed-n-Store Elevated Feeder ![]() Pet Zone™ has designed an elevated feeding dish to reduce stress in dogs, and provide better digestion. It's the Healthy Care™ Dog Feeder. The company says it's veterinarian-recommended because it takes the strain off the dog's neck and back muscles, allowing your dog to eat food and drink water without bending, reaching out, or lying down for the food. Eating at this natural level can help reduce bloating and gas. They also say it's a boon to dogs with swallowing disorders (like megaesophagus) or problems such as arthritis. The Healthy Care Dog Feeder has two easy-to-clean, durable, 2-quart bowls that are top-rack dishwasher-safe. Each bowl has special molded-in splash-guards on the back to reduce the amount of water or food spilled. The splashguards double as handles for easy removal. There are three sizes available: Large has a 12" high platform and is designed for Labs, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, etc. It has two 2-quart bowls. Medium is 8" high and is for Beagles, Cocker Spaniels, Boston Terriers, Schnauzers, Poodles, etc. It has two 1-quart bowls. Small has a 4" high platform and is designed for Dachshunds, Miniature Poodles, Yorkshire Terriers, etc. Pet Zone just introduced a new version, the Elevated Healthy Care Feed-n-Store™ Feeder. It's just like the Healthy Care Dog Feeder, only it has a storage area for dry dog food. The bowls twist out of the base for easy removal, revealing the food storage. There are two sizes: Large, on a 12" platform, holds up to 40 pounds of dry food and has two 2-quart bowls; Medium, on an 8" platform, holds up to 25 pounds and has two 1-quart bowls. These bowls did what they're supposed to do. Our tall Chops is a Golden Retriever/Bernese Mountain Dog mix. Katie is a medium-sized Australian Shepherd. They used these feeders with ease. You just need a big space for the feeder -- it takes up much more room than three bowls on the floor. The Large Feed-n-Store is 26"L x 16-7/8" W x 13-1/4" H.. The Feed-n-Store is available in gray and blue. The Elevated Healthy Care Feeder is in tan and blue. You'll find them at your favorite pet supply stores. Suggested retail pricies are as follows: Feed-n-Store: 12", $49.95; 8", $39.95. Elevated Healthy Care Feeder: 12", $29.95; 8" $19.95; 4", $9.95.
